Skill Certificate in Equipment Technician Level 1
Students completing this certificate will acquire basic level training for an exciting career as an equipment technician. These skills include engine repair, hydraulics, electrical systems, welding and service of agriculture and industrial equipment. This program will also have manufacturer certifications built into the curriculum to prepare students for entry into this high demand career field.

- Perform predelivery inspection on agricultural machinery.
- Perform prescribed maintenance outlined in manufacturer literature.
Career Opportunities
This certificate prepares students for an entry level career as an agriculture power equipment technician. This technical, hands-on program develops skills in engine repair, hydraulics and electrical systems. Students completing this certificate may work at a farm, equipment dealership, rental companies or independent repair shops.

The Skill Certificate requirements include completion of the certificate courses with a “C” or better grade in each course. Required and support courses may be substituted with the approval of the Agriculture Division Chair.
