Associate in Arts in Art History for Transfer (AA-T)
Students completing the Associate of Arts in Art History for Transfer will be able to transfer in the CSU system to pursue a baccalaureate degree in Art History or similar major. Students completing this degree will receive an introductory foundation in courses surveying global art historical traditions and will acquire the ability to interpret works of art from an interdisciplinary and historical perspective.
Program Outcomes
- Analyze the relationship works of art have with human history by exploring their political, socio-cultural, economic, religious and/or intellectual context.

Apply the proper use of art-specific terminology as it relates to media, subject matter and studio practices.

Demonstrate proficiency in studio practices based upon one required core course and two selected restricted electives.
Transfer & Career Opportunities
This Associate of Arts in Art History for Transfer (AA-T) Degree is intended to meet the lower division requirements for Art History for all CSU campuses. Students planning to transfer to institutions other than the CSU are encouraged to consult ASSIST.org and a COS counselor for program planning and course selection. Most common career opportunities with a baccalaureate degree include: education and gallery management.

The Associate in Arts Degree for Transfer requirements include completion of the 60 unit program defined above with at least 12 units taken in residence at College of the Sequoias with a “C” (2.0) average and a “C” or better grade in all required major and restricted electives courses (see Transfer Information and Requirements for additional details).
